Cyberbullying has become common enough that state after state across
the country is passing laws against it. This course will empower educators (including classroom
teachers, technology leaders, librarians, health teachers, and school resource officers) to help
their students become cyber savvy instead of cyber victims. Educators will develop multiple skills
to prevent and mediate bullying behavior as well as skills to teach potentially vulnerable youth—
influenced by their maturity levels, developing sense of identity, and sexual curiosity—to focus
their cyber energies on positive norms and practices. Educators will also scrutinize their own
